Create Sun Print Art

Another fun eclipse activity, especially for kids, is to create commemorative, unique sun prints, photos that use special paper and sunlight to create images of anything you want! You can easily create sun prints via a kit,
or simply purchasing  your own sun print paper.  On eclipse
day, create unique eclipse-themed sun prints using
moon shaped blocks or cookie cutters, circles (for the
sun), leaves, feathers, or flowers from
your backyard—even yourself!

How to make sun prints:
In full sunlight, lay a piece of sun print paper on a flat surface, such as a patio table or the ground. Then, lay the objects you want to print on the paper. Wait about five minutes, then rinse the paper in cold water. Like magic, the areas where the object or shape obscured the sun will leave behind clear white outlines of your sun print 'picture'!  Get creative! You can write messages about the eclipse, the date, use your company logo or spell you name—the possibilities are endless! And don't forget to share your creations with us @GoEclipse and #GoEclipse!
